Hardward alarms are initially setup in the Remote Unit Configuration application. If you want to modify an alarm for a single Remote Unit,
you must use the Remote Unit Configuration application. For the following task, you are modifying alarms for an Account with multiple
members or a List.
Click the Misc tab and deselect (clear) the Change Call Profile to and Change Special Command Count to check boxes.
To modify alarms multiple Remote Units:
- Open the Multi-Member Configuration application.
- In the Available Images list, select the Image you want to use.
If there is not an available image that meets your criteria, you can add a new image first.
See Adding a Multi-Member Configuration Image.
- Click the Edit Icon.
The Edit Image dialog box appears.
- Click the What tab.
- Under the Select Information group, select either:
Account if you are changing the special command count for the members of an Account.
List if you are changing the special command count for the members of a list.
The list is displayed as Available Accounts if you have selected Account, and as Available Lists if you have selected List.
- Select the Account or List you want to use.
Use the Search Engine Utility to find an Account or List or to sort the list by a particular field.
The "Selected List" or "Selected Account" is displayed in a box next to the Search for box.
- Click the Alarms tab.
- Select, from the Available Alarms list, the alarms you want to modify and copy them to the Selected Alarms list. There are two ways to accomplish this:
- Select the alarm and then click the
.
- Double-click an alarm in the Available Alarms list.
The newly selected alarms are displayed in the Selected Alarms list, preceded with a bold arrow, as shown in the example below:
- Now specify the options you want to change for the selected alarms. You can change the status of the Save, Log, Alert, and Alarm Notification options, and you can change the Nuisance Limit. To change the alarm option status:
- Select the Change check box.
- Select the Enable check box to turn the option "on" and deselect the check box to turn the option "off".
- For Nuisance Limit there is no Enable check box. You type in a new nuisance limit or click the arrows and select a number.
If you are using a previously defined image, there may be alarms in the Selected Alarms list and options may already be setup.
If you want to define a new configuration, you can click Clear to clear the Selected Alarms list, however, this will not clear any
selected Change check boxes - you will need to do this yourself.
- Click Change
- If you want to use this configuration again, click Save.
- You can rename the image - click the Where tab and enter a new name in the Image Name box.
- Click the Autoload button to set up the image for an Autoload.
