Adding a Meter Interface Unit

There are two ways to add a Meter Interface Unit to the system:
To add a new Meter Interface Unit to the system:
  1. Open the Sensus Configuration application.
  2. Do one of the following:
    Click the Add Icon.
    Select Add from the Data menu.
    The Add Remote Unit dialog box appears.
  3. Check the Active check box if you unit will be actively calling in and included in reports.
  4. In the New Remote Unit ID: box, enter a new Remote Unit ID.
  5. In the Model Type box, click the arrow and select a Model type.
  6. In the Call Profile box, click the arrow and select a Call Profile.
  7. Click OK.
To add a new Meter Interface Unit, using information copied from an existing Meter Interface Unit, to the system:
  1. Open the Sensus Configuration application.
  2. In the Available Meter Interface Units list, select the Meter Interface Unit you want to copy information from.
  3. Do one of the following:
    Click the Add Icon.
    Select Add from the Data menu.
    The Add Meter Interface Unit dialog box appears.
  4. Check the Active check box if you unit will be actively calling in and included in reports.
  5. In the New Remote Unit ID: box, enter a new Remote Unit ID.
  6. Select Copy Remote Unit ID:.
    The remaining fields are filled with the information from the selected Meter Interface Unit.
  7. Click OK.
